The Powerhouse at Big Bend Dam on the Missouri RiverNo job is too big! A sprayed polyurethane foam / coated roof system was chosen by the US Army Corps of Engineers to protect this multimillion dollar generating plant. Requiring high wind uplift resistance and flexibility for structural movement the Corps chose the reliability of a sprayed polyurethane coated roof which was installed in 1995. Installation on this nearly 1.5 acre roof consisted of a 2" thickness of 2.7 lb. density polyurethane foam with 30 mils of acrylic coating. The life expectancy is 15 to 20 years before a re-coat is required. What sustainability!!
