Restoration is the future of commercial roofing. The old logic of installing a hot black roof is disappearing. A-1 Roofing and Insulation has caught the vision for potential restoration. Your old EPDM, TPO, MOD-BIT, HYPOLON, PVC roofs no longer need to be torn off when they reach the end of their expected life. If the building owner is proactive to prevent his roof from becoming over 25% saturated, there is a high probability that the roof can be saved by re-surfacing. Silicon products have been revolutionizing the standard practices of roofing.
EPDM Resurfaced with Silicone
Companies like Firestone/Gaco have created new standardized full fluid applied membrane silicone systems. They are actively training and certifying contractors to apply these warrantied roof systems. The potential roof-recovery will first need to be pre-inspected to assess if the roof is an eligible candidate for resurfacing. If the roof is deemed eligible for a leak-free warrantied system, A-1 Roofing can bring our expertise to you.
A-1 Roofing will first tear out and re-roof any delaminated and saturated sections. Then we begin the process of restoration. Your roof will be washed thoroughly and primed with Firestone/Gaco Flex 2 part epoxy primer. Then we will reinforce all seams with Gaco Sf 2000 seamseal. We complete your roof by applying a full fluid membrane with Gaco S2100. A post-inspection will be done by a certified inspector from Firestone/Gaco. He will measure all thicknesses and check stress spots to assure they are applied to spec. After passing inspection, the roof will be given a 15-20 year, leak-free warranty, held by Firestone/Gaco.
